About Me

Hey there — I’m Brandon Draughon, founder and lead consultant at DraughonCFO. I help dentists and dental practice owners take control of their numbers, grow their businesses, and create the freedom they’ve always wanted.

 

After more than 16 years in Managerial Accounting and Strategic Finance, I’ve learned that great businesses — including dental practices — aren’t built by chance. They’re built by smart strategy, solid financial systems, and clear insight into what drives profitability. That’s where I come in!

 

Before starting DraughonCFO, I worked with some of the world’s largest companies, sharpening the same financial and operational skills I now use to help dental professionals transform their practices. My passion is taking the tools, strategies, and insights big corporations rely on and making them accessible — and practical — for small to mid-sized dental practices.

 

Whether it’s cash flow management, strategic growth planning, or building out financial systems that actually make sense, my goal is to give you the confidence to make decisions that grow your practice and give you back your time.

I’m a Tennessee native, born and raised in Cookeville, and business has been in my DNA since day one. My entrepreneurial journey started back in college, where I built a successful lawncare company that led to a spot in one of the top leadership programs in the world at Caterpillar, Inc..

 

I earned my degrees in Finance, Economics, and Accounting from Tennessee Tech University, and I’m a proud member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Omicron Delta Epsilon — honors that reflect my dedication to lifelong learning and excellence in my craft.

 

When I’m not diving into financial strategy or helping clients crush their goals, you’ll probably find me outdoors — mountain biking the Carolinas, camping, or hiking the Great Smoky Mountains. I’m always up for a new adventure (and a great cup of coffee afterward).
